Today, an average Bollywood fan is not unaware of the life and career of hrithik roshan. So, what new does this docuseries show about hrithik i was watching for.
Coming to the positives, i liked some initial minutes showing his early career and his dream debut with kaho naa pyaar hai. It showed how both father and son had creative differences frequently during its production. Hrithik revealed that rakesh roshan slapped him when he got angry with his father for sending the overseas print before him wanting to do some colour correction for raj character, then his mother said to him that their house and cars were mortgaged for this film. The success of the film they couldn't fully celebrate because of the underworld attack on rakesh roshan one week later. It doesn't show who shot him and why was he shot but it only focusses on how this didn't affect rakesh ji personally and professionally. Another positive i felt was the presentation of the deadly fall hrithik survived while shooting for the action sequences in krrish.
But the biggest drawback is that hrithik's film journey is restricted to only three films-knph, kmg and krrish. They only wanted to celebrate their home production films. Also, the mention of koi mil gaya was presented in a bland way were everybody was just praising the film and hrithik's performance. It should have shown how post knph, hrithik's films didn't do well and medias branding him as a one time wonder and him finished and at this stage papa roshan once again came to his rescue with kmg. There was also no mention about his head injury he suffered during bang bang, how he quit smoking etc.
On the whole, this episode on hrithik is the worst episode in this series.
