Lok Chak Shun was born in Hong Kong in the 1960s. On a fateful day in 1976, Shun spot a kite with a broken string. The slight differences in the decision he made in the process led him to three completely different paths in life.

Lok Chak Shun was born in Hong Kong in the 1960s. He was a premature baby who managed to survive after a lot of struggle and started a life that was ordinary yet extraordinary. Like most of the grassroots in Hong Kong, Shun has two working parents. As a child, he used to running to the streets to play after school. He liked to read comics at the comic stall the most, and thus met Lung, a gangster who was a few years older than him. Lung took care of Shun like his younger brother and took Shun with him to experience how to be a gangster. Lok Chak Shun turned his life experiences into comics. When he circulated them in school, he discovered that a mysterious person had secretly tampered with the contents of the comics. Shun and his classmates set up a revenge plan to make this mysterious figure feel embarrassed in public. To their surprise, this figure turned out to be an elegant girl who was about to leave school. Shun felt that he had gone too far and was about to apologize to her. On that fateful day, he discovered that his father was having an affair. At the same time, Lung ran into trouble again. Unsure of what to do next, Shun spot a kite with a broken string. The slight differences in the decision he made in the process led him to three completely different paths in life.
