In High Potential Season 1, Morgan's character is more suited to work in crime-solving than the audience realizes. Her high potential could easily be utilized in any problem-solving field, such as at the Holmes Clinic or passing the MCATS after studying medical textbooks. The show could potentially transition Morgan's mind into tech and ethical forms of use, as the victim in this episode was the opposite of a saint. This is common with slain victims who were CEOs or head honchos of their businesses. Elaine Barton, the health and wellness CEO who created Kon-airy, was known for her desire to change the world and make it a better place. Anson, another victim, might be even worse than Elaine. He didn't care about how people felt about his creation, the app that allowed people to create a deepfake photo or video in minutes. Anson may have been the victim of "Partners," but he was hardly the star. Jocko Sim's Ronny Oliver and Morgan are a carbon copy of each other, making them an excellent partner. They likely never had an idea that the other didn't wholeheartedly agree with each other. Morgan is not the kind of person you think of when it comes to busting criminals, but she keeps things exciting by keeping Miss Gillory's mountain of random facts safe in her noggin. Miss Morgan's mannerisms are not looking to make friends in this episode, which makes her even more loveable. She delivers a quick and effortless dig at the start of "Partners," and then squares off against Agent Rena during the profiling of the killer. In Morgan's defense, she and Karadec are treated like kids, being told not to touch anything. In the end, Morgan sped up solving the case before the killers could make their escapes. It was hard not to root for the killers in "Partners" because Anson created an evil app that led to a young woman taking her own life. Morgan uses her High Potential to mother the hell out of her family, making mothering look disturbingly easy.
Ludo doesn't have the same advantage as Morgan, but he pushes himself past what he is physically capable of for the sake of his family. He accepts responsibility for his collapse and doesn't let Morgan apologize for how hard she's been relying on him. He even says it's what they both signed up for and will keep hustling to give their family the love and support they deserve. In conclusion, while Ludo and Morgan may not be a couple, they still have a solid friendship, which is the foundation for a healthy romantic relationship. High Potential Season 1 presents a morally complex case with Morgan's potential to transition into a different career.
