I know a lot of people are going to hate this episode for being kind of slow, but i thought it did a great job of introducing the rest of the cast for this season. Probably the most i've laughed at an episode of peacemaker thus far. Seriously. Bird blindness? How does james gunn think of this stuff?
I will say i vigilante was funnier in s1, but thats really just due to his (lack of) screen time in this episode. He's still the funniest character in this show, hoping he'll get a good amount of screen time later but i also understand if he takes more of a backseat with this more serious tone.
To be honest, i wasn't a huge fan of harcourt until now but i appreciate her more as a character with each episode. I had kind of written her off as the basic tough female spy with little personality other than being cold to ppl and honestly i thought she was kind of boring. Obviously harcourt had more going on than that, but i felt like i couldn't truly be interested in her character until i saw where the slow burn is going. She is i am continually impressed by john cena. His acting was never bad in season 1, but his performance this season is so much more nuanced, intricate and heartfelt.
