I thought Indonesian Movie was starting to level up, daring to make a psychological thriller like this one. A genre I actually quite enjoy. At the beginning, my eyes were spoiled by the life of Mila, a socialite who lives a life that seemed too good to be true. But the truth is, theres no such thing as a perfect life. Mila faces a perfectionist mother-in-law, Jonathan, who always prioritizes his mother over Mila, the problems of her teenage daughter, Angel, who feels she's not as beautiful as her mother, and Mila's sudden onset of a skin rash. Initially, I thought this was just a trivial matter of Mila not being honest about having had facial surgery. But when the little girl named Grace appeared, covered in glass and blood on her face, I began to have higher expectations for the ending. However, until the end, the rather bloody drama didn't live up to my expectations. Not to mention Erika's role a bit confusing me. I have no idea whether she's a good person or vice versa. But its a good movie for discussion, tho.

The acting is good, sometimes it's a bit over the top but I enjoyed it. The production quality is solid.

The movie made me feel a range of emotions, there are characters to hate and the main character to sympathize with.

I don't know anything about the culture (I'm European) but some things, some types familial relations are universal, I really connected with the main character because of this.

The movie has an important message, one which obviously a lot of the sick people in today's sick society don't agree with thus the low reviews. I recommend a watch.

Like what even is this? And Netflix says it's number 5 in my country. Like who's watching this nonsense? Are those even accurate anymore?

A lot of dramatic illogical reactions. Idek what was going on. I'm just mad I wasted my time thinking something worthwhile will happen. I should have come here first. I'm so mad about wasting my time lol. Don't waste yours.

Nothing in this script doesnt make sense, its like it was written by a 10 year old for homework in one afternoon. Im not gonna talk about hte details cuz every single thing about this story is ridiculous. Bad storz, bad plot, bad actors, bad ending, bad characters. I honestlz cant believe that Netflix is buying this. Dont waste your time like me.

Unlike the negative reviews I found this movie quite heartening. It's a slow build but from the beginning you can see that the main cast is already unhappy with her life.

The takeaway is this - Not staying true to yourself rots away at your soul, and in this film literally.

Many chase riches and success, barely anyone takes the time to even know who they truly are and the life they truly want. They chase and follow blindly until they realised they've thrown half their lives to waste.

It's a good message and a fairly obvious one. Live a life true to yourself. Obviously anyone who hasn't done much of any introspection would simply lack the depth to understand this movie's message or appreciate it.

While majority of the characters were not likeable that's the point. The message is clear and a good wake up call to anyone still living in limbo. Wake up and live a life true to yourself, not what others tell you.

Edit: it's called a Normal woman because thats all she wanted to be, since young.

Genuinely believe majority of yall are not very smart at all. Sorry director, you deserve a smarter audience. I got the message :)
