"Why be a righteous and good person if you only die?"
That was the question that appeared in my head as I finished the episode. The episode was heartbreaking to watch. After watching 13 episodes of Si Jin you become accustomed to the brother's presence in the show. He is a simpleton and a good person. He was there for comedic relief, who will take his place now?
To think that that the episode would show why good people end up hurt and dead. There are evil people in this world and Cui Mingyue has to at least be in the top 20 of those people. The actress portrayed this evil character flawlesly. I found no hesitation in her actions nor any guilt or shame of them. The actress truly outdid herself.
A bigger question that appears in this episode is: "Can you truly change destiny". Ever since Si Jin's rebirth she has changed things for the better but some things still ended up the way she remembered. Still this queen never allowed the villains to come out of the situation completely alright.
Cui Mingyue's days are counted for and I'm looking forward to Si Jin's revenge.
