The humour in this episode, not to spoil anything but was quick and witty, very dry. Not everyone's taste, but for me it blended in really well because you have the presenter, and then you have the loud noise and the humour and the music is what made it fun and interesting, as they could get creative with the world and the monsters, and it was engaging for that reason.
Seeing what Mrs.flood turned into was the biggest surprise of the lot, her charm and elegance carried what was already a fantastic episode that had twists and turns at every corner, and the unexpected nature was really a big surprise and they stepped up.
Also seeing the monsters was a delight, all of the costumes were really interesting to see, and the episode manages to make us feel for them and sympathise baste on what's happened previously, and the ending of the big surprises and reveals we're entertaining and highly enjoyable.
The Episode really comes together to throw you curveball and the Song at the end is beautifully sung and her dress looks amazing, her voice and her tone carried her emotions with sadness and sorrow, almost leading into a demise that hasn't been seen before, and Hellus If that's how it's pronounced, are also aliens from other planets, but the history is what makes it entertaining because you can see the progression and the overall development of their story.
I'd rate this a 9 out of 10 Because it was fun, the performances were fantastic, and the edgy and darker tone of this episode was phenomenonal.
And then there are of course a few moments which leave the audience gagged, and should satisfy a lot of fans of the show, adding lots of exciting possibility for the season but also the show as a whole. Very excited to see what's coming in the next few episodes!
The characters were incredibly strong, even the smaller characters. And the threat was actually scary and dark, and there was a darkness to The Doctor that we didn't expect to see.
The special effects and overall look and feel were also phenomenal and despite being set in a sci fi environment, quite realistic?
The twist at the end was completely unexpected- especially as they began to roll the credits just before it happened.
Very excited for what's to come.
The Doctor and Belinda land at the Interstellar Song Contest and decide to stay on the space station and watch.
Some people from the planet Hellia whose world was purged for poppy producing honey want vengeance. No one cared about their plight.
The corporation that destroyed their world are the sponsors of the song contest.
Ncuti Gatwa plays an angry Doctor, maybe for the first time since the later 10th Doctor era.
The story has nods to events in the Middle East. Even the Doctor does not care what happened to the Hellions at first. He is so irate, he just wanted to torture the Kid.
Of course there were several fan moments. Visions of a past companion and the reveal of an old foe.
I loved seeing Rylan, play himself and seeing the star of Uk Eurovision Graham Norton as well.
The Doctors emotions were still there but there is this one part, where he gave us all the chills, with his raw and powerful acting.
I'm in love with this episode and will probably rewatch it very soon.
I would watch doctor who unleashed for more information and a small teaser for next weeks episode.
¿Sabías que…?
- TriviaBroadcast on the same evening as the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final in Basel, Switzerland; the BBC1 screening actually preceded the event. Ncuti Gatwa had been due to act as UK spokesperson to give their votes, but was, "due to unforeseen circumstances, unfortunately ... no longer able to participate." He was replaced by Sophie Ellis-Bextor (whose mother Janet Ellis had played Teka in 1979-80's "The Horns of Nimon" shortly after giving birth to her).
- ErroresIf everything had been destroyed on that date, Rylan could not have been cryogenically frozen.
- Citas
Mike Gabbastone: Look, that's 100,000 people. Frozen and suspended in space. To reach them, and catch them, and revive every single one of them... You'd need to be some sort of insane genius.
The Doctor: Hello. I'm the Doctor.
