Oh my stars, the premiere of Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale exploded onto our screens with a dazzling "Miss Shutacca: Slaysian Edition" challenge that had me clutching my pearls! Twelve queens from across Asia-and beyond-descended upon the runway, serving heritage, elegance, and fierce competition all wrapped up in one jaw-dropping episode.

Right off the bat, the queens turned tradition on its head with two show-stopping looks: national costumes and evening gowns, both delivered with a signature Shutacca twist that redefined pageantry realness. But the looks were just the beginning-this episode was also a drag variety show featuring a hair-raphic dance battle, razor-sharp Q&A, and a lip sync that had me screaming "SLAAY!"

What a congested episode!

There were lots of happenings in this episode that really need a little more time in order to be fleshed out completely. I like the first 20 minutes, but all the way from the awkward mini challenge down to the anticlimatic elimination, I found the remaining of the episode really underwhelming.

I wish, it's a design challenge instead of a pageant parody so we could get to know these queens further. You know, this will also help them, especially the international queens to adjust. For sure, the entire episode will not be as congested as this.

Moreover, sound editing is so choppy. You can obviously hear Mama Pao's critiques and even the commentaries from our queens being poorly trimmed. Ugh. It's just frustrating. Nevertheless, it's a great runway presentation from our queens.

Slaysian Royale - yass

Absolutely love this show so far! They chose such a great variety of queens and I love the use of winners and other judges from different franchises as guest judges. We need more slaysian royale!! Love that queens from other more smaller franchises are also getting more recognition. All the Filipinos queens are amazing and I'm loving Siam, Suki, and Ivory so far from the other franchises.
