The second episode continues the thread established in the first, showing a development that reinforces the protagonist's characterization. The original Miami Dexter is introduced, with a focus on his role as a meticulous and observant killer, distinct from the more serious tone he had in "New Blood." The incorporation of classic elements, such as his way of stalking and monitoring his victims, as well as his characteristic humor, helps maintain the essence of the character. Since the series "Original Sin," we see a progressive improvement in our favorite serial killer. The development so far raises expectations about how the plot will evolve in the upcoming episodes of "Dexter: Resurrection." This is a great episode, and I hope it continues to surprise us.

Back to stalking, preparing a kill room, the art of being a serial killer. I'm so happy that they didn't stray too far from the original formula and that we're in a cold, unfriendly New York City that contrasts very well with the sunny, aggressive Miami we saw in the original series.
Dexter's plot seems to be refreshing, Harrison won't be getting into a boring high school plot again and I'm looking forward to seeing Batista in action more often.
If the pacing continues like this, the season could be very good. I'm really enjoying the way they're working with the characters, it seems like a good new start and I hope it's the last one this time.

"If you were a serial killer in a hoodie, it could be you. "
"I don't wear a hoodie."
He's back, y'all!
It's not Miami, but he's legally Dexter again, and has the sardonic wit to match. It's good to see him have a project again, instead of trying to be all normal upstate. We also have daddy along for the ride. Buckle up!

Oh Scott Buck. How I have such a love/hate relationship with your work on Dexter.
As a writer, he penned some of the best, classic episodes of the OG series. And then, he became showrunner. I enjoyed season 6 more than most, but it still was a drop in quality compared to the first seasons. Then season 7 had a mix of strong and weak moments. And we don't talk about 8.
For the first time since season 8, he has written another episode, and it delivered!!
It felt like classic Dexter in all the best ways possible! Even the new characters are awesome! I'm so intrigued by almost every plot thread. Even little details like Harrison speaking Spanish help make the characters feel well thought out. A fantastic first two episodes of this season!

Not you Taylor!!!
Dexter is here to rock the City and he finds Harrison very quickly at the hotel he is working. After Harrison killed the guy trying to have fun with the girl, he cleaned up the mess, but for a serial killer like Dexter, there was still some evidence to be found and eliminated, before the police finds it.
Dexter also gets a home to stay, from an Uber driver, who mentions a serial killer who cuts of the heads of his victims. So Dexter is back on the hunt to satisfy his dark passenger.
The amazing ratings of this show proove how people lust for more Dexter shows!!
And who can blame them? It is great again and with barely a competition it is the only thing to watch right now!
So well done Showtime and keep going!
