Watching this feels a lot like watching the original Dexter, but now it's set in New York City instead of Miami. The atmosphere, the narration, and the main character's inner conflict all feel very familiar - it's almost like they just changed the location but kept the same blueprint. That's not necessarily a bad thing, though, because it brings back a sense of nostalgia for fans of the original series. It's interesting to see how the New York setting adds a slightly different vibe, with its crowded streets and darker corners, which makes some scenes feel fresh even if the overall formula stays the same. The writing and pacing were tight, and the lead actor does a good job capturing that same eerie charm.
