It was really amazing and sad to see how judgmental and shallow both the men and women were in this first episode. I am not so old that I don't know that physical attraction is important to people, but some of the worst people I've ever known had beautiful faces/bodies, who, once you got to know them, became quite unattractive later on.
The concept is to have a small group of women on stage holding balloons which they'll pop if they don't find a single man, brought out on stage, appealing. Many women popped their balloon as soon as they saw a man that they weren't immediately attracted to. I find that sad, because for real love to last you are going to see your partner at his or her worst at times. Either due to ill health or perhaps an accident and all of us age. If you are really looking for true love deciding on an individual within seconds, with not even giving them a chance, seems frivolous at best. One woman even dismissed a man because she wanted someone who looked like they would kill somebody. Hmmm...any serial killer dating shows out there? Now that might be interesting to watch.
The concept is also very juvenile and not well thought out. Not sure why they decided it needed to be "live" as well. Give this one a pass unless you need something to make you fall asleep.

Low budget production that probably cost millions.
Awful cast selection including host. Set design with no focal point. The plant that was removed after first contestant for obvious reasons. You will find out why. The host asked questions you would write down to ask a first date five minutes before arriving. The first episode already has a racist comment towards another person. The cast self promoted themselves for free. The original concept is from YouTube where normal non celeb type of people are cast. This show had already established individuals.
The host mentioned a tv show The Wire ( maybe say Top Boy?) . I did not subscribe to HBO Max. This is a Netflix show.

Doesn't worth watching anymore.
I feel like the people who are coming there are trying to act instead of being genuine and it's not the real pop the balloon that we are used to and that we like.
The presenter should be Arlette because she was straight to the point letting people talk and not trying to talk around just going straight to the point which is great and more interesting straight to the point.
People are talking too much while it's not their turn to talk so I prefer when people respond when they are given a chance to speak not making comments that will influence other people's decisions.

One word describes this show: Chaotic. The format of this Pop the Balloon was chaotic. The host only fuelled the fire. Everybody was talking over each other. The cast wasn't focused on love but they were more interested in the superficial stuff! There were absolutely no genuine, deep conversations had. The essence of the original Pop the Balloon show was non-existent. As much as it was studded with stars and members from the "Netflix Universe" - the focus seemed misguided.
People have cancelled way better shows in this lifetime. They better cancel this one.
It was unfair not to have Arlet host the show and to not maintain the original format that encouraged deep conversations and real stories. I couldn't enjoy the show - not even for a second.

Absolutely painful to watch-completely unorganized, chaotic, and lacked any sense of direction or entertainment value. I genuinely don't understand how this even made it onto Netflix. It felt like a total waste of time, and I was honestly embarrassed just watching it. The editing was all over the place, the concept wasn't clearly explained, and the entire production came off as lazy and rushed. If I could give it zero stars, I would without hesitation. Netflix should seriously consider removing it from their platform because it doesn't meet the standard of quality viewers expect. Save yourself the time and skip it-this was a huge letdown.
