Patricia Richardson Richard Karn and Debbie Dunning who were all on Tim Allen's show Home Improvement are set to play characters in the episode. Richardson played Allen's wife Jill and Karn and Dunning played Al and Heidi who were Tim Taylor's coworkers on his TV show Tool Time.
