Always end up every episode feeling like why am I still watching this. To finally have a fun episode with some interesting dynamics with the cast. The party it self felt exactly like a show: a forced interactions with so many characters that is hard to keep track of (or care about). While i sympathize with the fact each of the characters have their own families and problems , it is just so distracting in the overall story. And this supports my theory to never have kids. Get a cat like Carrie .
Sima is carrying the show at this point and she has been such a breath of fresh air . The rich ladies with children and rich kids problems is just so over the top and so out annoying to be honest. Yes rich kids living in New York have problem... I just couldn't care less the daughter is in love with a pansexual multi sexual gay ballet dancer . Anyhow I deviate, this show gave us a a good and interesting conversation between Miranda and Carrie at the end of.l the episode that is with analyzing.

Look, I've got to be honest. I'm still watching this show because it's terrible. Abysmal. A continual train wreck. A shadow of its former self. I refer to it as And Just Like Crap. Let's not get into all the reasons why. But I was surprised this week. I actually enjoyed this episode. It wasn't written by MPK - I would imagine that's why. While it still had some flaws (for example: scenes ending mid conversation or without seeing something through to the end is such a pet peeve of mine) but at least it got some of its heart, humor and entertainment back. Keep it up please, and perhaps the show and its characters can be redeemed.
Not sure what changed, the writer and the director but this episode is finally back to what this show used to be. Great writing, good humor and still emotional. Excellent tempo and great directing work! Unfortunately the rest of the season is not up to this standard! I think this season has been unfairly criticised by fans and critics that are hate-watching and nitpicking their way through the episodes.
That being said, I haven't been blind to some of what they've been fairly called out for - mainly that the plot wasn't moving along quickly enough and we had no investment in the storylines.
Enter: episode 7! We're halfway through the season now and boy, has it found its feet. It feels like the characters are back to being authentically themselves and it honestly feels like a lot of fun. The storylines are better-established and the stakes are in play. Plus, this episode was just pretty funny. It worked the dramedy to perfection.
The karaoke scenes bring the laughs and the pacing feels good. The sub-plot with Patti LuPone as Gia didn't feel shoehorned in and actually elevated the episode.
I've always seen And Just Like That as an extension to the Sex and the City world, it's not a reboot and it's certainly not the same show. I enjoy spending time each week with these characters that I've enjoyed watching for 20 years and can accept they're not the same people they were in their 30's. I think the avid viewers are having trouble with the fact that the writers have tried to expand the characters universes and, because the characters aren't the same as they were, they're annoyed by it.
This episode is the best of the season by some distance. Is it a coincidence that Aidan (the new Che? He needs to go!) is nowhere to be seen and we weren't subjected to forced Todd-Wexley drama and the show seems infinitely better? No, it isn't.

Best one this season, a witty, sensitive and fabulously scripted episode. Reminiscent of the original series, it showcases the main characters main traits, giving laughs, shocks, and the occasional gasp, it delivers everything one would expect from the girls. There is still plenty to unroll, but being mid season, this is a great one to keep you hooked.
