In sucess, money, work, and family once again demostrayting the quality with a most wonderful and class act of talent who can truly deliver the heartbreaking of being welathy and beautiful portrayed in prestige cable TV.

All series are about the main characters and the people around them. People around those secondary characters rate little time so the main story can progress. The secretary of a secondary character is one such person.

Her family and love-life drama are constant. The love drama is completely implausible. Her character is plump and average looking with a minor talent. Her boyfriend is a fit, handsome, charismatic professional; an elite of his community. He could easily have his pick of 1000s of women better than her.

Her activities have nothing to do with the main characters. If her screen time was limited, fine. However, when it goes on and on episode after episode, it's nothing but time-wasting filler.

If her role was cut 90%, nothing would be lost except the boxes the Producers filled by her unnecessary presence.

Imma state this directly, last week's episode probably was the best episode of the series so no, it doesn't top that. But why do we live in a society where every next episode has to be better? We don't.

The Russels have won. Mrs. Van Rhijn accepts humbleness in the name of her sister. Marian accepts she is an overthinker, Peggy finds care.

Very simple. What else do you want?

I want the World, Clay... and I want to own the rails that connect them. What else is there?

What a mess the finale. Amateur writing and a complete disappointment for an otherwise engaging third season. Big budget spoiled and the distracted the writers and directors. Spectacular ballroom scenes that lead up to embarrassing melodrama. The result is a Disney cartoon. The actors must have been terribly embarrassed to have Julian Fellowes abandon them like this.

It's true that the prior two episodes were more suspenseful, but I think this final episode does a great job of increasing our anticipation for season four.

The storylines for the upcoming season are setting up nicely and I much prefer not ending the season on whether Mr Russell would have survived the gunshot. It could be another year until season four and that kind of cliffhanger is how you lose viewers.
