Of course I had not even heard about this 2025 drama titled "Silent Murmur", from writer and director Tunde Sobowale, prior to stumbling upon it by random chance. And with it being a movie that I hadn't already seen, of course I opted to check it out.
Writer Tunde Sobowale put together a good script. It is a story that carries a punch, no pun intended, and it deals with some real life problems in terms of domestic violence and abusive relationships. So it is a drama that deals with some rather sensitive topics, just as a heads up, should you opt to watch the movie. I found the story told in the movie to be entertaining and it was a watchable movie.
While I was not familiar with a single actress or actor on the cast list, then that was actually something that spoke in favor of the movie. Why? Well, I generally enjoy watching new and unfamiliar talents on the screen when I sit down to watch a movie. And the acting performances in "Silent Murmur" were good.
Certainly a watchable movie, but hardly a movie that warrants more than a single viewing. There just simply isn't enough layers and contents to the storyline to support multiple viewings.
My rating of writer and director Tunde Sobowale's 2025 movie "Silent Murmur" lands on a five out of ten stars.
