In 1936 Japan, a young woman enters an arranged marriage with a naval officer who misses their wedding due to duty. Despite their unusual start, the couple gradually develops a deep connection through daily life together.
Sets in 1936, Natsumi Sekiya is a young lady who suddenly got engaged to Takimasa Ebata, a man who works for the Imperial Navy. However, on the day of the wedding, Takimasa is unable to come due to work, and Natsumi starts her married life without her husband.
