Jesus Christ... Within the first two minutes of the movie, you have a scene where you have two werewolves going at each other and using martial arts. I have to admit that I was good and ready to get up and turn off the movie right then and there. But I opted to endure and give the movie a proper chance. But it wasn't boding particularly well for the movie already.
Needless to say that I wasn't exactly harboring the biggest of expectations to "Night of the Werewolves", as the majority of werewolf-themed movies out there tend to be rather questionable affairs.
Writers Cam Schwarz, Phil Pattison and Carlos Henriques failed to put together a coherent script. In addition, it was a script that had zero entertainment value to it.
I was not familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list. And while that is actually something I do enjoy, it just brought little value to this movie, because there was literally nothing to be enjoyed from the script. So the actors and actresses stood a snowball's chance in Hell here.
As for the special effects in the movie, well at least they weren't as bad as the rest of the movie was. So that counted for something at least.
My rating of directors Phil Pattison and Justin Sulham's 2024 movie "Night of the Werewolves" lands on a generous two out of ten stars.
