Shadow of Israphel

This is one of the best pieces of content I've ever watched. It strikes the perfect balance between having an interesting and driving story and being beyond funny and ridiculous. The best part is probably the fact that Lewis and Simon only roleplay sometimes, and the other times they pick apart and mock their own story.

What shouldn't go unsaid is the fact the world-building is amazing, witch many great places, stories, wars and characters full of life, that bring the world a very real feeling. The soundtrack as well is superb, and overall, it is definitely worth a watch through... or several.

Shadow of Israphel is to YouTube what The Good, The bad and The Ugly is to Western cinema. It is the very definition, the masterpiece. It is also by today's standards, not perfect. But SOI is everything that YouTube grew to be. At a time when Minecraft was still almost unknown, Lewis, Simon and friends created a whole world of imagination.

It's hard to quantify just how large the impact of this series was. Because without this series, Minecraft may have never been the giant it is. It also launched what is the UK's largest YouTube network, creating hundreds of jobs and bringing millions of pounds to Bristol.

SOI is a masterpiece. It's not a Michelin star meal, it's your granny (Bacon's) roast potatoes that Jamie Oliver couldn't beat with God on his side.
