On the eve of Ira's birthday, Dr Raj Nagpal prepares for what should be a joyful gathering. The household is complicated: Raj lives with Ira, his young daughter with Asperger's, and his mother, while his estranged wife Anju lives next door, having left her legal career to focus on their daughter's needs. Raj's current partner, nurse Roshni Saluja, not only supports his complicated family dynamic but also serves as Ira's caretaker.

The birthday is bittersweet. Ira receives a piano, her joy short-lived when she collapses unexpectedly while playing. Concern grows as the family anxiously awaits medical test results. Dr Mistry, Ira's physician, relieves Raj's fears by ruling out pancreatic cancer, diagnosing Ira instead with hypoglycemia - a manageable but serious condition.

The following morning, the family's maid Kamala arrives to discover Raj covered in blood and cradling Roshni's lifeless body. Panic spreads. API Gauri Karmarkar is called to the scene, and Raj is detained almost immediately, though the murder weapon is conspicuously absent and the evidence paints a deeply unsettling picture. Anju, caught between suspicion and heartbreak, finds herself drawn into the unfolding legal drama as hidden facets of her own life and Raj's relationship with Roshni begin to surface.

Meanwhile, Advocate Madhav Mishra has launched his own firm, joined by Deepu and Shivani, the latter being the daughter of a respected corporate lawyer. As Madhav handles settlements for a high-profile corporate client, he is unexpectedly approached regarding Raj's case, just as he receives a red Jeep as a token for his successful negotiations.

Back at the police station, initial investigations reveal little but suggest that what seemed a clear-cut crime may be only the beginning of a much larger, tangled story. Accusations swirl, alliances shift, and in the closing moments, it's clear that every member of this fractured family will be drawn inexorably toward the courthouse - where old wounds and concealed truths threaten to upend everything they believe about justice and each other.
