The Distance

I completely understand people that think this episode was weird, specially because of the scene where they literally parody having s*x on the phone in a long distance relationship (for me that was hilarious).

But in my opinion people took all this adult-themed jokes way too seriously, this show always had this kind of bromace jokes with Gumball and Darwin, we already have an episode where Darwin literally gets envious of Gumballs girlfriend.

Even if in this episode jokes and themes are a bit more "R-rated" it is still really funny and makes sense with the characters and the show itself.

If they were actual brothers this would feel WAY more akward, but since they are not for me all the jokes can still walk on the line between actual Inapropiate content and just dark humor.

This episode is weird, no doubt. Gumball and Darwin are obviously inseparable as brothers. However, this episode seemed to make them out to be a little bit more than brothers. This made me extremely uncomfortable. However, it all wrapped up nicely in the end, and with a rewatch, I realized that it was all satirical. There were some very funny moments and good animation; however, the show still doesn't live up to its predecessor.

Feels weird still. Feels corporate. Impressed with the animations and scenes. Gumball feels a bit different, I don't know if they made him more childish or if it's just the voice. He seems robotic like if you wrote down Gumballs traits and fed it to an ai. Plots are boring. I'm still not used to it. I'm willing to give this show a chance a shot though.
