What began as a seemingly cute and innocent story about a cheerful alien visiting Earth slowly unfolded into something far more disturbing and emotional than I ever expected. I was completely caught off guard by how deep and dark the narrative became. As the layers peeled back, the heartbreaking reality hidden behind the smiles hit me harder than I thought possible. The soft, almost childlike animation style only made the pain feel more real - like it was hiding something tragic beneath the surface. It's a short watch, but one that left a heavy impact on me and lingered in my mind long after it ended.

Very very depressing and impacful beginning that shows how each life is effected by 1 person and their actions. This anime left me and my siblings in tears, the first episode is so sad... the central topics of this show I did not expect to be so depressing. I knew it would have some sadness in it for the plot to work, but I did not expect it to be so incredibly heavy, especially for the first episode.
It's hard to cry over someone you just met, but that character and what she whent through makes it really easy to sympathize and experience her life o.o If you like Omori, this show definitely has those vibes at the moment.

Starting with the animation it was beautiful, and every sec of it feels so real .... The artist done a great job in animating this, u will feel every emotion even the little one while walking , talking or even a slightest of change in the emotions
Now the story never ever I saw something really heartbreaking and hard with this much exsiqute and charming animation ...... the story unfolds itself slowly ... at starting it's just a cute story of a Wholesome and happy alien coming to earth and met a girl but the episodes goes on its changes path and took a really hard turn .
Now after watching this no person can tell that this is a kids show .... after berserk and akame ga kill I'm really felt chills in my spine.
It's was hard hitting . Worth a watch . Will payoff every second of your watch .
The animation makes the experience even better and also the reason to make this anime more tragic than any normal animation would have.

Takopi no Genzai is a powerful and emotionally gripping anime that goes far beyond what you'd expect at first glance. Visually, it is a breathtaking experience. The art style masterfully balances soft, expressive character designs with striking environmental details that bring every scene to life. Each frame feels intentional and rich with emotion, capturing both the warmth and darkness of the story's atmosphere.
The animation is fluid and deliberate, especially in moments of heightened emotion. Character movements are subtly expressive-just a glance or shift in posture can carry the weight of a thousand words. This level of detail in the animation truly enhances the storytelling and allows the viewer to feel deeply connected to the characters.
Complementing the visuals is a hauntingly beautiful soundtrack. Every piece of music feels carefully chosen to enhance the mood-whether it's a lighthearted moment or a more somber scene. The background scores blend seamlessly into the narrative, adding emotional depth without ever overpowering the visuals. The opening and ending themes are also memorable, with melodies that linger long after the episode ends.
In short, Takopi no Genzai is an audiovisual gem. It's a series that respects its viewers, delivering a heartfelt and visually stunning experience without relying on clichés. Even without knowing the story's twists and turns, you'll be drawn in by the sheer quality of its production. Highly recommended for those seeking an anime that is both beautiful and emotionally resonant.

> "A creation that spreads happiness to bring her joy, gave me hope to change her life for the better, until I reached the dolls in anime. The drawing style gives an impression that channels all your emotions and sadness into the tragedy and life of the fragile girl. At the same time, you can see an escape and a glimmer of hope for her life to become better and filled with happiness."
> "I loved how the work shows us that wrong decisions affect even children, and how anger is poured out onto them. I hope the message and the true idea of the work are received, and that such behaviors are addressed and reduced in our society."

I knew the Manga for a long time, but I never got to read it. I knew it was handling some hard themes, but that didn't prepare me. This Pilot gives me what it is supposed to give me -- a feeling of being unwell, sad and devastated. It looks beautiful and the characters are very good.
I like how Takopi is the contrast to the depressing Story. It shows the cruel nature of the human species or more specific -- how evil kids are -- especially if they are growing up in a brutal household. His reaction are so pure and non understanding of what is happening right now, that it is supposed to make us realize that what is happening in schools and in our daily life isn't supposed to be normalized.
This show isn't for everyone and if someone is struggling with mental health issues, they should really consider if they could handle such themes. Nevertheless it is an Amazing Pilot and I only heard good things about the Manga so I hope that the full six Episodes gonna be on the same level of greatness.

I've always been a big fan of bittersweet media and this show is no exception. I thought I knew what I was getting into going in but even I was surprised. Seriously I can't recommend this show enough it's so perfect but please make sure you're in a good headspace if you're watching cause it's DARK even for someone who doesn't get sad or disturbed easily.
If I had to describe the show it's a kids show but with a real world kid as the main protagonist who deals with the HARSH realities of life. It's sad and it knows it, but my god does it balance the heart shattering lows with the most beautiful of highs.

It's been difficult for me to try and put my thoughts of this series into words because of how delicate of a subject it is for me. This was one of the most difficult series I've watched and it made me feel various emotions that i haven't been in touch with for a long time. I think attaching a number to this doesn't do it justice despite how strongly i like it, so I'll stick to writing out how i feel and go from there.
I was never as big of a fan of the movie 'a silent voice' as most people. Not because it was bad or anything, more so the way i felt watching the moments prior to the time skip. The bullying that occurred was intentionally forceful and over the top but without the depth of insight into the bullies life out of school (in comparison to this series) and the entire opening sequence left me out of it despite the strong themes explored for the rest of the movie.
I think the reason this story hit me like a train in comparison was due to the subtlety and dynamic of emotions through various point's of view. Takopi's pure oblivious heart, shizuka's hollowness, marina's toxicity and azuma's selflessness inflict many feelings that blend naturally and are all equally important to the plot in their own unique ways.
I was already uneasy throughout the first episode, but I've never felt lower while watching a series then watching the moment that transpired when shizuka asked takopi for the item while holding the collar. The sudden transition without any explanation to her being dirty and beaten up, without her dog chappy that gives her a reason to keep going, and the obliviousness of takopi as they talked and shizuka eventually walking away shattered me. Knowing the clear intention of where the story was going and seeing takopi sit there in an uneasy state, not understanding what's going on was one of the hardest things I've watched in a show. It wasn't what ultimately transpired as a result of these events, but collectively how they unfolded, the state of the characters and how their experiences framed the moment, the obvious implications of what was next and the subtle delivery that made me feel so strongly.
What makes this series standout is the character of marina. Her actions are motivated and not a product of the stereotypical bully with no further insight into their story which is prone to happen in other stories. There are instances of these bullies getting contextualized and exploring the root cause of their actions, but the way it's executed with marina is in my eyes the best portrayal of this type of character. Clearly none of her actions are intended to be justified, but rather give insight into what led to them. Hurt people are often victims of other hurt people who are victims to a cycle of pain that was originated by something far out of reach and out of their control, and that's a constant theme in life today for many families and individuals. Marina's story turns the show on it's head and leaves the audience with an ultimatum that's left for them to decide how they feel.
On the morning of august 1st i watched the first 5 episodes and was a wreck. I got busy and every time i considered watching the finale i got cold feet due to the idea of feeling how i felt again while initially watching. I wasn't in an awful place in life when i started watching, yet felt like a shell of myself and was questioning so many things during my first viewing. At the time I'm writing this, I'm in a much worse place after some of my own actions. I finished the final episode, and all I'm left with are my thoughts and feelings. I'm at a crossroads in my own life with so much uncertainty. I feel ways that are unjustified, and i can't stop second guessing myself and what i really want. I say all of this because i think the takeaway from takopi's original sin should be expression. Expression in the form of communicating with one another to reach a common goal of understanding. This mini-series made me uncomfortable and that's not a bad thing. In 6 episodes it accomplished so much and I'm grateful for the experience. I hope i can fill the void that I've put myself in, and if you feel the same way please keep moving forward and never give up. Thank you for reading, i hope you're doing well.

I watched it because people were saying that this is depressing and dark, And for me yeah at first it felt like that
but however the story was great, but that is until the end. This is one of the worst endings I've seen in anime...
Because Shizuka who became happy at first because marina the bully was gone, and also marina who hated shizuka and regret not killing her until 2022 suddenly became friends with each other like nothing happened, it makes 0 sense, I get the idea what they are trying to say, just because takopi lingers around their memories and those memories alone made them friends...the ending was very unrealistic, just in 1 minutes whole problems got solved, yeah if you want a happy ending this is the one, but if you want a more realistic ending hell no
until 5th episode 10/10
but after the ending 6/10.

I do not get all these 10s, realy. The parents are way to exaggerated! C'mon, I do not say there are'nt any broken families or realy bad parents in the world but in this show it is like there are no healthy parents in the whole Japan. What are the odds that every parent in the show are deeply troubled or even mentally ill? Just put the whole possibe drama in a bucket and then pour it all over the show. It is like a bad "Butterfly effect" copy with a poor written, stupid alien in it.

This anime was really interesting for me because after a long time and watching a lot of anime, most of which were boring and even some of them were boring like Sword Art Online, I finally found this anime through YouTube and I really feel good because the anime is really emotional. Unfortunately, this anime is short and I believe it can get a score of 8.5 or higher. I don't understand what some people mean by saying that this anime is a waste of time? My advice is to definitely watch this anime. It's really great and don't forget to give it at least 8 stars because it really deserves it. Anyway, that was my opinion.

Takopi's Original Sin is a deceptively saccharine descent into moral ruin-an exquisite juxtaposition of cosmic innocence and terrestrial depravity. Were it to be animated, this tale would demand a studio with the audacity to render trauma not as spectacle, but as slow, suffocating truth. The naïve visage of Takopi-a gelatinous emissary of joy-becomes a cruel irony as he stumbles through a world saturated with existential anguish, child abuse, and emotional desolation.
Each frame would need to pulse with quiet dread, as the pastel innocence of elementary school life is methodically peeled away to reveal the rot festering beneath. Characters do not merely suffer-they disintegrate under the weight of unseen sins and unspoken grief. And as the narrative spirals into morally ambiguous oblivion, we are forced to confront the inefficacy of good intentions in the face of systemic cruelty.
The hypothetical score must oscillate between whimsical and harrowing-mirroring Takopi's deluded hope and the irreversible damage it wreaks. If voiced faithfully, Shizuka's hollow words could pierce like glass, and Marina's bitterness would curdle even the sunniest of scenes.
In short, Takopi's Original Sin is no children's fable-it is a merciless vivisection of innocence, an interrogation of guilt devoid of redemption. Any studio brave enough to adapt this work must trade flourish for fortitude, and sentimentality for a mirror held unflinchingly to the void.

10/10 - Takopi's Original Sin is a heartbreaking yet beautiful story that mixes innocence with deep emotional pain. Its art style contrasts the dark themes perfectly, making the impact even stronger. From a human perspective, it captures the tragic weight of trauma, regret, and the desperate desire to do good. Every chapter leaves a lasting impression, and Takopi's journey is one that sticks with you. A short but unforgettable manga that hits right in the heart and makes you reflect on the complexity of kindness and suffering. Its storytelling, pacing, and emotional depth make it a truly rare and powerful experience.

Tokapi's Original Sin - A Masterpiece Beyond Imagination
From the very first scene to the mind-bending finale, Original Sin by Tokapi is nothing short of a cosmic experience. I went in expecting brilliance - and I walked out shattered, reassembled, and reborn.
The story dives into sin, desire, duality, and destiny with such haunting beauty that it lingers in your bones. Tokapi doesn't just tell a story - they paint emotions in blood and stardust. The narrative is layered, poetic, and fearless. Every character feels like a mirror, a myth, and a memory all at once.
The visuals? Breathtaking. Hypnotic. Divine. Every frame is crafted with precision and soul, drenched in symbolism and surreal elegance. It's art you don't watch - you surrender to it.
The soundtrack deserves its own universe. Each note resonates like a heartbeat behind the scenes, amplifying the tension, the beauty, the FALL. It grips your spine and doesn't let go.
There are films you like, and then there are films that change your inner architecture. Original Sin is the latter. It's an exploration of what it means to be human... and what it means to fall.
10/10. No hesitation. No forgiveness. Just glory.

As I watched through the series, I realised that this anime evokes distinct emotions through various events and situations that portrays the 'common' societal affairs that have been revolving around for generations, i.e. Bad parenting, consequences of parental arguments on a child's mental health and comparing one child with another. There is a lot to learn and realise from this masterpiece and evolve our perspective, compassion, and awareness towards people around us.
This anime is an eye-opener.
I loved this anime and I recommend everyone to be open-minded while watching this and learn to be more human.
