Mistry

At the time of writing this review, there are two existing reviews, and I have some disagreements with both.

I've watched the series it's based on, MONK, but there's something about Ram Kapoor's acting that makes it so charming and you can't get enough of it. The comedic points are all to the point, and there's just something really soothing about each episode.

I'm not saying it's a bad show, but I do wish it had been an original story instead of being a copy of something else. What this should really needed was a crazyass writer.

So, yeah, it's a one-time watch for me, and it was a good one for that one time. I think i might possibly be the only one waiting for Season 2, if at all that happens.

Series is good, not bad not great Good, time pass, You don't guess the killer in first instance but there's a pattern and you get it since the second story only and you'll eventually always get the right that somehow makes direction maybe weak, overall I watched 2:30 hrs in a go and it was okay, for me,

To be HONEST it was not worth reviewing but whats worth reviewing is the REVIEWS, MANY 2nd class people who are overly obsessed with foreign webseries, seems like these people thinKs it keeps them on somewhere superior position if they have watched some original series of some Indian movie/series remake, How can be someone so much free to Watch A random English series and than even Waster enough to watch it's entire adaptation Only to judge the adaption and than even Free enough to write an entire review about how free they are to waste on this..

If you're giving review give the review so that people can decide what to do watch or not, But this good for nothing guys just blabber and blabber.

People need to understand that this series has to be made as per indian sensibilities and behaviour. It will not be an exact copy of Monk. It won't fit. People need to stop being such snobs and be a little kinder about official remakes of popular films and series.

But Ram kapoor doesn't fit into the role. It seems forced. He needs to take "ram kapoor" out of the character. It feels like he's on theatre stage going OTT. It should ahve been another actor.

It's been grossly miscast in the lead. All other characters have done a great job. Maybe switch the lead in the next season. If the plot is good, People will accept it.

Holy magnifying glasses and endless to-do lists, "Mistry" is one sleuth-tastic treat! Imagine Ram, our compulsively meticulous detective, pacing in perfect parallel lines and color-coding his suspect dossiers with OCD precision-every paperclip aligned within a hair's breadth of perfection. He's as fidgety as a hummingbird on triple espresso, yet when the show pivots to those raw emotional beats, he nails them with the tenderness of a confession scene at 3 a.m. In a rain-soaked alley.

I found myself jotting down every clue in my mind palace, ticking off a mental checklist: "Did he nail the deductive reasoning? Check. Did he toss a red herring? Double-check. Did he break my heart? Triple-check, complete with crime-scene-tape tear-jerkers." And guess what? Ram aced it all.

As a fellow "detail detective," I'm compulsively compelled to recommend this binge-worthy caper. So grab your detective notebook (and maybe a label maker), settle in, and prepare for a brilliant, brain-tingling experience-because "Mistry" doesn't just solve crimes; it masters the art of emotional CSI.

Show more of his inner conflict outside of work - dreams, breakdowns, or symbolic rituals. Let us feel his trauma, not just see it in crime-solving mode.

Thewife's backstory remains unresolved and lacks emotional pay-off in season 1 End episodes with stronger hooks related to Armaan's wife's case.

Ram Kapoor delivers a standout performance as the quirky yet deeply emotional Armaan. Even though Mistry is inspired by Monk, Ram makes the role his own, infusing it with Indian emotional sensibility rather than simply copying Tony Shalhoub's version. Mistry is a well-acted, Indian adaptation of Monk, anchored by Ram Kapoor's heartfelt portrayal of a grieving detective who solves others' mysteries while haunted by his own.
