Hey Beautiful: Anatomy of a Romance Scam

I found this docuseries to be very compelling. It's very easy for most of us to judge and say, "oh I would never fall for that." So, if you've ever wondered why some people do, this docuseries is for you. The anatomy - or more accurately, psychology - of a romance scam pertains not only to the bilked victims, but also to the perpetrators, and to the people whose images are stolen. We get a fascinating glimpse here. It goes to show how this is a long con, and the scam is carefully crafted so that it is very effective. The scamming syndicates cast thousands of baited lines. Most people won't take the bait, but for whatever reason, some people do, and those people are reeled in, slowly, carefully, deliberately. I've already recommended this to a friend whose loved one took the bait. Definitely worth a watch.

Silly girl who wrote that dumb review. Just watch something else. No one's going to read your novel. No duh people shouldn't fall for scams, but they do. So what? That's the whole point of the show: to be a voyeur. I mean why watch if you're just going to think how better you are. By the way, you're going to be old too. You obviously don't know a thing about a thing. Ugh. Anyway, the show is well put together and it's an inside look on people being scammed.
