This movie had all the boxed checked! It's a great movie. Had me on the edge of my seat almost fell out!! We never know what we will do when backed against the wall for your child. Mother love has no limits!! This movie made you question your faith, your morals, who you are inside and out. What is right and wrong. Would you take a person life to save your child's life. In the end you have to live with your decision no matter what the outcome is.

Lerato carried the show from the start - A Leading Lady!! Great chemistry with co-star Sdumo Mtshali. The entire ensemble played their roles so well. A beautiful mix of veteran and young performers. The soundtracks 🔥 I was dancing to bops throughout. Let it be know that Lungile was the villian PERIOD!!

Badly written, no characters worth rooting for. The whole premise of the story is the main character's daughter but we don't even see that relationship as they go through what is supposed to be a life threatening disease. The relationship between the protagonist and her husband is not even given 5 min in six episodes. For parents experiencing such pain is very disingenuous of the writers. It is horribly bad. And I'm being polite.

"Marked" is South African drama at its finest - tense, gritty, and impossible to stop watching. Lerato Mvelase delivers a powerhouse performance as a mother on the edge, and every episode is a heart-pounding mix of action and raw emotion. If you understand the vernac, you'll catch even more of the hidden nuances and sharp lines. This isn't just a heist story - it's a fight for love, survival, and redemption. Unmissable.

The design clearly shows a lot of creativity, with thoughtful choices in colour, texture, and layout that give the production a distinct personality. However, at times the locations feel a little disconnected from the characters who inhabit them. Strengthening the link between each character's background and the style of their surroundings could make those spaces feel more lived-in and authentic. For example, incorporating subtle details that reflect personal history, lifestyle, or cultural influences would help the audience connect more deeply to both the setting and the story. Overall, the vision is strong, and with a closer alignment between environment and character, the world on screen could feel even richer and more believable.
