This movie was such a hidden gem, one of those rare movies I could easily watch again and again. The comedy was perfectly timed and delivered with charm by the entire cast. The romantic element was sweet, yet refreshingly subtle, never overshadowing the deeper themes. What truly moved me was the heart of the story. Brynn's struggle was incredibly relatable, and her journey to find connection and belonging through chosen family: not bound by blood, but by deep, loyal friendship, was powerful. That's one of my favorite tropes, and it was handled with so much care. I laughed, I cried, and I felt deeply seen. I cannot wait to see more form Star of Magnolia Films!
I don't have any other thoughts of this film besides that it made me laugh, cry, and hug my best friend close. I think the Brynn and Mel characters were so well-balanced and showed that friends will literally show up at your house and drag you back home when you feel as if you've lost yourself. If you love the tropes of: best friends, found family, best friends brother, small town, and lots of humor, then this is it for you!! Brynn and Sawyer were just so cute in so many scenes, same with Mel and Mark who are such a sweet and charming couple! But I think the real show stealer is that Jerry character, SO FUNNY! This also makes me want to know more about Lottie and Roy, I loved how it all tied together in the end! Go see Lottie's Girl!
Lottie's Girl was fantastic. The acting felt incredibly authentic, and the friendship at the heart of the story came across as deeply real and relatable. The actor who played the older version of Roy reminded me so much of my godfather (a father figure in my life when he didn't have to be) which made the story hit even closer to home.
There were a few choices made in the film (no spoilers!) that were bittersweet but ultimately heartwarming. You can really feel the characters' pain and joy, the ups and downs of growing up, falling in love, and grieving the lives and connections that might have been. The ending was both beautiful and uplifting.
I can't wait to watch this film again -- and I know my dad, who's a huge RomCom fan, is going to love it too!

Lottie's Girl was a charming romcom that depicted the ups and downs of friendship, love, and loss. The characters were not only delightful but also deep. Seeing the friendship between two of the main characters really reminded me of my own friendships with my childhood friends and showed what it was to be truly known and loved. The actress Zoe was particularly delightful and I loved all her quips and witticisms. The growth of the main character was lovely to see and you became more endeared to her the longer that you watched. I loved the music, the scenery, and the story. Would recommend to anybody!
Lottie's Girl is a heartwarming gem that beautifully balances humor, emotion, and charm. Sawyer was easy to fall for, you can tell he has a big fat heart. And I really enjoyed his character arc along with his deadpan delivery of comedic lines that added so much levity to the story. Matt and Zoe's banter is nothing short of magical, with timing and chemistry that brought the theater to tears from both laughter and heartfelt moments. Jerry absolutely stole the show with a performance that was both hilarious and full of heart, without ever taking away from the other powerful actors. I also especially liked the young versions of Roy and Lottie, their scenes brought me to tears with their genuine emotion. The comedic timing throughout the cast is spot on, and the overall sweetness of the film stays with you. It felt so real, as if I was watching a beautiful story unfold on my neighbor's deck, intimate, honest, and full of life. It is a feel good treasure that is both laugh out loud funny and deeply moving, and I would happily recommend it to anyone who enjoys stories full of warmth, connection, and joy.
