The Mafia's Innocent Lover starring Ryan Larson as mafia boss Rafael and Sarah Yigin as Sophia is a sizzling, steamy movie that keeps you hooked. Ryan-oh la la-absolutely nails the role of the perfect mafia boss. You instantly know who's in charge when he's on screen.
The story begins with Sophia, who years earlier had saved Rafael's life. Fate brings them back together when she discovers her boyfriend cheating at a casino owned by Rafael. Later, in a cruel twist, her boyfriend drugs her and attempts to sell her to an older man. Escaping, Sophia collides with Rafael, kisses him, and the sparks fly.
As their connection deepens, Sophia finds herself pregnant, but a misunderstanding leads her to believe Rafael is with another woman planning a wedding. Afraid of what he'll think, she runs without telling him the truth.
Ryan Larson is simply fantabulous in this role. He delivers every emotion with conviction-anger when he suspects Sophia only wants money, tenderness when he remembers her saving his life, raw jealousy when he fears losing her, and a surprising vulnerability as he wrestles with whether his feelings are genuine love or just a need for control.
Ali Hamilton also shines as Clara, the conniving fiancée from another mafia family. She stirs up plenty of drama, and when her schemes cause Sophia to be injured, Rafael's compassion reveals a softer side that makes him unexpectedly endearing-yes, even for a mafia boss!
I especially loved Ryan's look here: clean-cut, dark hair, and always sharp in a suit. Both leads carried the film well, but Ryan truly stole the show. This is a beautiful, dramatic movie that's equal parts passion and intensity.
A must-watch. I'm officially a Ryan Larson fan-and now off to binge more of his Films.
