The Hockey Star's Remorse

Admittedly, I was surprised at the first watch.

I firstly thought Timothy Hayes (incredible Noah Fearnley, as always), was a jerk.

Betting on the VCard of a lady is totally cringey and disrespectful, but unfortunately it does exist IRL. Jameson Leigh is stunning, and so sweet. I adore her scenes with Noah, particularly the first night of Timo and Evie and the part when they meet again and Evie expresses her sadness to Timo.

Timo finally touches my heart, when he publicly apologizes for everything, and admits his feelings for Evie.

The scene where they rizz, is romantic : particularly when Tim said Evie he still followed her on Instagram.

He remembers all the small details about Evie etc.

I hate bullying, and unfortunately in the vertical films, it's too often. The girls are so mean, and still mock Evie after 6 years.

They go too far once again, when they spy Timo in the shower, trying to find Evie (nice scene Noah and Jameson).

The cast is absolutely amazing, it was pleasant to see Eli Jane and Kelton White working again with Noah.

The one who portrayed Evie's best friend, Lucas, is also handsome. Grant Hall is not bad too.

By the way, the film is a good example of how each action can affect the future of someone. Each action, decision have consequences.

Jameson Leigh is cute, but I found it difficult to view her as a good romantic casting match to Noah Fearnley. If it doesn't look quite right, it doesn't feel quite right.

I thought the storyline and plot arc was interesting enough...the sports superstar/regular woman is quite common in these verticals, but still makes for an engaging watch...if the casting match seems credible. This element just didn't get there for me.

I've seen a number of very attractive, somewhat more 'mature' looking female actors appear in secondary roles in these verticals. It would be good to utilize these actors as the female lead to make these films look a bit more like real life.
