The Human Condition

I have watched all episodes of Resident Alien and love the first couple of series. Series three went way off the deep end though with too many changes, characters and storylines...many that I really couldn't care less about.

This is the last series and episode 5. I liked the first couple of episodes tidying up from series 3 but now it feels like there is a lot of filler padding out the series to the ten episodes. Perhaps 6 or 8 episodes max would have been better.

I am "watching" this episode as I write the review and honestly couldn't give a fig about Harry's kids friends or Darcy and the dogs.

Right now I am just wanting the series to get on with the main characters and main stories and satisfyingly rounding them up and finishing the whole thing off.

It's a shame this programme is slogging along so. I used to love it at one time.

Wow, do I miss the days of just watching an episode without trying to be "pushed or nudged" constantly.

Why does it feel like every single show we are fed these days is laced with mandated, political talking points. It legitimately sucks out the pure enjoyment.

Please just bring back entertainment.

I loved it the first 2 seasons, but this season it's going nuts - creating so many new plotlines and characters, I can't keep track. Has everyone in town now been abducted? Some stories are just plain silly, like breaking into an animal shelter to get a dog. What does this have to do with the alien?? I miss the first 2 seasons when Harry was getting used to being human. It was intriguing, funny and entertaining, and learning about the town residents was fun. To be honest I won't be sad if it ends this season, tho I will miss Harry and the funny Alan Tudyk. Hope we see him in something else soon.
