I am just a dog.
Worldbuilding (10/10): One of the most immersive settings in web fiction. The lore is dense, with secret organizations, hidden histories, and mystical forces structured around tarot cards and "potions."
Plot (9/10): Slow at first, but every detail matters. It evolves from a detective-style story into something vast and cosmic. Foreshadowing is masterfully done - what seems minor early on can become crucial hundreds of chapters later.
Protagonist - Klein Moretti: A rational, clever, and likable character. You root for him not just because he's the MC, but because of how well he grows from a regular man into a true "mystery" himself.
Power System (10/10): Unique "Beyonder Pathways" based on potions and rituals. Every power comes at a cost. It's risky, layered, and makes every advancement feel earned.
Tone and Themes: Gothic, mysterious, and often philosophical. If you like the vibes of Sherlock Holmes, Lovecraft, or Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, you'll feel at home.

You know sometimes you just need to add some slice of life in the midst of action and fighting to balance things out. Unlike that certain leveling that showed just actions and nothing else for the sake of viewers . And what are y'all complaining about this show not being understandable at all. It literally shows at the start what the power system is and in between the episode about the information you need to know about the world. Also this is one of the best fictions and one of the best written plots in the history. The animation quality that the producing studio has brought us is just next to insane! This is probably one of the best adaptations of a novel so far. Praise The Lady!
I have to say I'm very happy with this 4th episode, while I do admit that they added quite a bit of scenes that I cant exactly remember from the novel, they still kept it fully true to the world building and plot.
Really happy with how they are animating the more gruesome scenes and transformations, good to know that they're doing the body horror elements in LOTM justice.
I wish we got to see more of Klein acting as a seer, but I'm assuming that'll come in later episodes.
Overall, I'd say that the trajectory of this episode, compared to the previous ones, really gets my hopes up for the rest of the series.
Great visuals, great storytelling, only superficial gripe would be the lack of side character development as of yet.

I enjoyed it a lot and it was entertaining as beans. I recently completed vol 1 of the novel and I must say that although parts are missing it was nice to have an episode that was paced reasonably and didn't skip as quickly through content like the first few episodes. Lord of the Mysteries isn't just a story-it's a meticulously crafted universe that rewards patience, intellect, and attention to detail. As a fan of both the original web novel and any potential adaptation, I'm baffled by the recent surge in *low-effort 1-star reviews* from accounts with no history. Don't be misled, they are just review bombing it.
The world building is insane, it's like no other.
The details and the story inside a story is just godly. It required patience but trust me it's worth it.
The character developments are just holy peak, you will say if they are the main character. And the MC Klein is my fav of all time. Lord of the mysteries is something I spiritually connect with. It's where my emotions lies.
Hope you people enjoy the novel.
PS. It's being review bombed and we want justice.
