A correct ending despite everything.
Gi hun faced an enemy that was impossible to win, a system where everyone has to lose so that only the 1% win. He was an anomaly and an outcast in a place where greed, ambition and violence are the norm. But as good as his intentions were in wanting to save everyone, he forgot that he can't save someone who doesn't want to be saved, especially those who are willing to condemn and crush their equals and innocents in order to win. Sometimes the good guys are the ones who lose, and in a world where that happens, things have to change... or perish.
It was a bittersweet ending; perhaps the story could have taken a different direction, but I'm glad that everything that needed to be resolved was brought to a close. It may not have been the best ending of all, but considering the path the story took, I feel it was the right one.
