As a big fan of Dusty Slay-especially through Nateland-I was really looking forward to Wet Heat. And to be fair, Dusty brought exactly what I love about him: that laid-back charm, his unique way of looking at the world, and the easygoing vibe that makes him so likable on stage.
That said, the special was a little disappointing overall. A lot of the material felt familiar, like I'd heard some of those jokes before. While I enjoyed the performance, it didn't hit me as being all that funny this time around.
For fellow Nateland fans, it's worth knowing this isn't a Nateland production-it's just Dusty on his own. Content-wise, it's generally clean, though there are a few jokes about prostitution and some light profanity sprinkled in.
In the end, Wet Heat still carries Dusty's signature charm, but for me it lacked the freshness and spark that I was hoping for.
