Hayakawa meets Konno on the school rooftop, and they quickly become friends and keep each other company. One day, Konno sees Hayakawa engaging in unusual behaviour with a senior, and Konno and Hayakawa make eye contact.

Hayakawa always suppresses his emotions because of past trauma. Konno notices this and invites him to relax at home. The interaction between the two gradually heats up, but when Konno shows concern, Hayakawa's emotions explode. Suddenly, the atmosphere between the two changes.

Konno accidentally discovers Hayakawa's tape recorder and learns about his past trauma. Konno decides to encourage Hayakawa to pick up music again, and their relationship gradually deepens.

Hayakawa once again pursues his dream of music and faces his feelings for Konno. After the final exam, Hayakawa bravely sings in front of everyone at karaoke and confesses his feelings in the form of music.

Konno is shocked by Hayakawa's sudden kiss, but Hayakawa immediately plays it down and walks away. From then on, Hayakawa no longer hangs out on the roof. Three years later, Konno, who has become a college student, accidentally meets Hayakawa again during his photography work. The three years they missed come back like a wave of emotion.

Hayakawa and Konno finally confess their feelings to each other. They meet again on the familiar rooftop and reflect on their youth.
