One night, Matty Roberts created a huge prank on his Facebook page: a plan to storm the US government's most secretive military base, Area 51 in Nevada. Matty's joke went a little too far, and over 500,000 planned on attending.
There's no denying that people have a huge fascination with Area 51. Who wouldn't love to know its secrets? Who doesn't want to know exactly what is going on down there?
It felt a little like another Trainwreck episode, the real Project X, where a group of unwanted visitors showed up because of a Facebook post, and the authorities weren't exactly prepared.
It's not one of the best entities in the series; it's a little silly in parts, one of the stories that's perhaps a little difficult to take too seriously. Human nature, however, is always interesting to behold.
I did love the link-up, cutaway visuals, and the fact that they chose to do this in anime-style animation; it looked terrific.
Jeremy Corbell strikes me as an interesting guy. Not sure I agree with him on anything, but I'd love to have a pint and a conversation with the guy, he's fascinating.
Karens, anti-vaxxers, furries- that section was genuinely amusing.
6/10.
