Episode 1140 of One Piece drew sharp criticism for its pacing and visual execution. Fans and critics alike felt Toei squandered a pivotal Egghead arc moment with overused CGI, repetitive shots, and drawn-out sequences that dulled the impact of Luffy's Gear 5. The constant explosions and jittery animation were called distracting rather than dramatic. Sanji's altered portrayal, diverging from the manga and making him appear reckless, further fueled backlash. What should have been a defining, hype-filled episode instead left many disappointed.

Fantastic episode beautiful drawing and the transformation and the flashback was unbelievable it's absolutely 10/10 I want to talk about the episode more but I don't want to spoil or something like that anyway I hope all episode that will be in the future will have this quality and beauty. This episode is truly a new low for Toei Animation, the episode felt like it was produced cheaply by a small team making a YouTube kids cartoon. First, it was filled with free to use stock sounds that come from a library called Cartoon Trax Volume 1 (source: SFX wiki as well as me who has the library downloaded), this is not just specific to this episode but to the whole show, which takes away much of the immersion as you hear the same sound effects all over again which are present in Teletubbies and Cocomelon (again, SFX wiki and I'm dead serious, I wish I was lying). It's not just limited to the Gear 5 sounds, but the whole show, for example Akainu's magma was a splat sound but no one noticed. Gear 5 needs to have cartoon sounds but original sfx just like literally every other TV series in the world has a foley department, which One Piece lacks. But what made this episode even worse is that Toei is now using free to use stock video footage. The explosions were not CGI, they were green screen videos of explosions and added on top of CGI ships, this was most of the episode due to its lackluster pacing.

Earns a 6 from me just because Oda is a genius and One Piece is a great series, but this was truly horrible.

The longe wait of boney to see nika is finally over and also for the fans the moment boney realized that straw hat Luffy is the sun god nika becomes emotionally connected to the story and the fans and many more things that gives us to watch Luffy's gear 5 again after 2 months and to expect more on the upcoming next episode with the giants fight , Luffy's fight and the Awakening the gaint robot from the ancient time and so on again it makes us to wait for another one week and to expect more from the upcoming episodes.
