Destroy Future Island - The Buster Call is Invoked

Like the previous episode, this week's episode presents the equivalent of two minutes of story in 20 minutes. Terrible, awful, and above all boring. Points for the animation, which is generally very consistent throughout the episode and above average in its raw depiction of Kizaru's emotions.

The problem with the pace in One Piece has finally returned after almost 20 perfect episodes.

We're back to the Slideshow Piece.

As usual in trend with toei...nothing happens in 20 mins they moved the story only 30 seconds further just skip waste of time. They won't change.... waiting for WIT to remake if that ever happens.

Because Toei stubbornly refuses to adopt a seasonal format for One Piece, they deliberately drag out the pacing to the extreme-stretching every single episode with endless filler scenes, recycled flashbacks, and drawn-out reactions-just to avoid catching up to the manga, no matter how much it tests the patience of the audience.

The episode didn't really progress the story to much and the animation was subpar. They go on about the backstory we just saw for far too long long and the episode has a lot of tell don't show. Kizaru was also very weak this episode not even managing to slash it, felt like he was nerfed in terms of speed. And the charecter design is to revealing especially for Bonney who is meant to be 12. Anyways I'm not a fan of this episode and hope we get to better quality.

Episode 1139 of One Piece is a textbook case of Toei dragging things out unnecessarily. The pacing crawls, with endless close-ups and reaction shots that pad the runtime instead of building tension. For all its polished visuals, the episode barely moves the story forward, making it feel like a glorified trailer for next week. The new opening is flashy but oddly divisive, and the sound effects feel like they're stuck in the early 2000s. Fans have been patient with slow pacing in the past, but this feels like testing that patience to its limits. With such strong source material, it's frustrating to see an episode squander its potential just to stretch the arc further.

After building hype from last episode this episode ruined everything this episode everyone just running and vegapunk's emotions not catch my heart. And I Hope they will fix this because I read manga and there are many things but this episode pacing is somuch bad only they make little bit of hype for gaints in next episode hopefully that will be good 👍
