I seriously doubt Meghan Markle had an understanding of who Samin Nosrat is and what she has accomplished. She is an amazing chef who wrote my favorite cooking book, "Salt Fat Acid Heat". If you want to learn about cooking, this is the book!
Meghan treated her like she was a inconvenience and couldn't care less that Samin was there. What a wasted opportunity! I would love the opportunity to spend time learning from Samin!
Watching Meghan prepare her chicken (which I think this would have been a much better 'project' to do with Samin) was painful to watch. I don't think Meghan really knows much about cooking and she could learn so much from this amazing chef and author.
Does Meghan do any kind of prep for her show? The audiobook version of "Salt Fat Acid Heat" is only six hours long. If she had read the book she probably would have learned how much better her roast chicken would be if she brined it. But, no. Meghan is too caught up in her own self importance and delusion to be respectful of a truly incredible chef and teacher.
I have so much more respect for Samin for being as gracious as she could be and is too good to be on this show. I hope someone at Netflix extended a huge apology to Samin and gives her a huge show. I love this guest and am horrified how she was treated.
