I will preface this by saying that I loved the book!
The series tried to follow the book and for the most part did.
My two biggest complaints were: I didn't think Amanda Seyfried represented the book character as closely as I would have liked - seemed like the book character was a lot tougher The series was probably a bit long
Nonetheless I enjoyed the series and would recommend it.

After reading all the hype I was excited to see this movie.
Maybe I would've enjoyed it in 1940 - but it was really bad in 2025
A really really improbable romance blossoms after like 5 minutes of meeting time - dreadful
The plot was as thin was water soup The music is just like any other movie in the same era.

This is a good movie about a relatively unknown part of World War II. For a Netflix movie, I thought they did a very good job of simulating some battle scenes and demonstrating the horrors of war. The characters were interesting as well to understand the impact on the individual of the war and the sacrifices that a lot of people made during the war
I'm always left pondering after these movies would I have been part of the resistance or would I have just sucked up to the Nazis? It's easy to think you would be part of the resistance, but those decisions are very difficult and individual
Bottom line - War is Hell.
