For a show to make you feel like you're apart of the characters lives the way The Bear does is incredible. I understand that this season may not be for everyone, but I thought it was brilliant. Every episode was raw, emotional, and real in a way that didn't feel pretentious or forced.
The acting performances this season were phenomenal. Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri were spectacular, especially in this season finale. I honestly wasn't the biggest fan of Sydney's character at the start, but the way she was written the season was outstanding.
It sounds cheesy, but it was a pleasure to watch these characters grow over these four seasons, and Richie had my favorite character development of any show in a long time.
I don't know if people will understand this reference, but my favorite tv episode of all time is Season 4 Episode 7 of Mr. Robot (407 Proxy Authentication Required) and this episode reminded me a little of that.

I've discovered that the worst genre of Sci-Fi is cyberpunk. It's a cringy and aesthetically dorky style of film that has a cartoon-ish edge to it without any of the charm. This movie was made in 1995, but looks and was directed like it was made in the 70's.
12 Monkeys is equally weird as it over-rated. The people rating this movie highly are the same people obsessed with the original Blade Runner or movies like Taxi Driver.
The writing feels like it belongs in a Spy Kids movie. There are a few laugh out loud moments (thanks Brad's Pitt as the only great acting performance in the entire movie) and some quotable insights, but the majority of characters are unlikable and hard to root for.
This film is clearly renowned because of the end of the movie, which was one of the biggest disappointments I've ever experienced. This movies was a complete was of 2 hours and anyone calling this the greatest sci-fi movie is a Neanderthal. The lead up was equally insufferable. If I had to sum up this movie with only a few words, goofy, idiotic, and irritating.
The plot keeps you somewhat interested, but the writing, sound effects, acting performances, cinematography, directing, costume design, and characters are ridiculous. Bruce Willis' character was an insufferable moron and Madeleine Stowe's was a joke, just poor from start to finish.
It's the kind of movie some film dweeb who makes everyone around them uncomfortable would force you to watch, especially if you said you didn't like sci-fi - or the losers that live on Reddit.
