Does this review contain spoilers? Uhmmmmm, is there anything to spoil?

I think I get (?) what Coppola is trying to convey here but she fails miserably, don´t know if the plot was written in a hurry to release it during the pandemic? Or AppleTV+ needed a movie to stream for their platform in order to get subscribers (I think this was one the first movies they released, if not the first one), but this is definitely lazy writing... I really can´t imagine anyone involved in making this watching it and thinking: "Wow, this movie is amazing, we made a masterpiece.. release it now! It´s perfect!"; I really want to believe this film was made in a hurry, because it´s the only thing that can explain this movie being so bad.

Another reviewer here wrote he felt his time had been robbed by wathcing this... and I felt exactly the same way when I watched it. So, don´t make the same mistake, don´t watch this movie if you appreciate and cherish the short time we are granted on this earth.

Totally overrated. Most war films get good reviews even if they're really bad, don't know if it's because of patriotism? Maybe people feel obligated to rate them high as a "thank you for your service", I'll never understand why, so I usually stay away from them, but this one made such a fuss that I actually gave it a chance, I liked the fact that it was directed by a woman so I thought the movie would have some fresh perspective compared to what we are used to see in this kind of films, but it didn't, nothing new, more of the same, romanticizing war, depicting them as heroes when they're the ones invading a foreign country and killing innocent people, Jeremy Renner´s role was completely over the top, not very plausible, but I don't think it was his fault, it was probably the poor writing and directing. I didn't enjoy this film at all, it was a chore to finish it, but I wanted to finish in order to earn the right to rate it and write a review, but trust me, it took everything in me to finish it, one of the most boring and dull movies I've seen in my whole life, do yourself a favor and skip it

Also, can't believe this was nominated for best picture and director??? AND IT WON over Inglorious Basterds (real masterpiece) Avatar, The Blind Side and Up. I honestly can't accept that the academy thought this was a good film.

Ohhhhh my God!! It draaaaaags forever, it was a real chore to finish it. I kept falling asleep. The only thing working in it's favor is Frances´s acting, but that's about it. I really like Frances McDormand as an actress, but they gave her nothing to work with, honestly, one of the worst movies I've seen in my entire life. So boring, I don't hold anything against slow paced, slow burn movies, I actually enjoy them, but this, this goes nowhere, it achieves nothing, please save your self because i couldn´t, and the worst part is I dragged people into it, so please, save your time and skip it. TIME IS MONEY, DON´T SPEND IT WATCHING THIS.
