Fun mystery series that is set in Texas. The reason I don't give it a higher review as it was not filmed in Texas and doesn't look like any part of Texas.

Sweet River is a fictional town but it makes you think of Sweetwater. They did a great job decorating.

But it is impressive they have that many fake Texas plates for the vehicles.

I'll watch the others but I'll laugh as it doesn't represent Texas well. For example, in "The Winemaker," the winter clothes are much thicker and warmer than what you would find in the state of Texas.

The characters have good camaraderie between each other. My family, including my teenagers, were engaged trying to solve the mystery.

Since the song "I Pledge Allegiance to the Lamb" by Ray Boltz came out back in the 90s, I have pondered what will happen in America when Bibles become illegal. Will I be strong in my faith? What risks will I take?

The writers did a great job tackling this topic. I can imagine there being a government bible and that scares me. Great movie to watch and have discussion with your family or your Bible study group of would you be willing to die for spreading the message? Who would you trust? Would you support your spouse or parent for taking a risk?

I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews unless other Christians doubt that this could be our reality.

My husband and I picked this movie to watch because of the great cast, Dick, Angela, Jane, Roma, and Abigail. Our children 10, 14, and 15 slowly drifted into the room to watch as they were captured by the music.

We didn't originally realized the movie was a musical. One of the songs week make you think of another movie about an orphan. Even my 10 year old picked up on that.

I loved how their was 2 story lines that were bridged together in the ending. Yes, it was predictable but it was great to have a clean movie to watch with the family.

I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews on this movie. This is definitely one I would watch again.
