I actually started watching this because I like the ML, and the first and only reviewer (so far) here said they didn't expect to love it this much so I was intrigued. And I totally agree. Unexpectedly great, well written, all round great acting especially from the main leads, seriously talented. Not to mention their amazing chemistry.
It's great to see the plot develop at a good pace as well so it's not frustrating to watch thus far.
For me easily one of the best K series I've seen this year, where other newer have had lots of popularity and viewership but didn't shine in my eyes, this is a brilliant little gem and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Story is realistic, authentic, no fluff. I'm only giving in 9 instead of 10 because it could use some development plot-wise.
Very well acted and portrays love and their relationship in a very relatable way. Not much of the silly, toxic and abusive relationships that you see in other series.

This is the second Kdrama series I've ever watched (after Crash Landing on You) and now, almost a year later, I still can't seem to get over how beautiful, gripping and in parts sad it was. It's always in the back of my mind, like a good book or a meaningful life experience that stays with you.
A really simple setup of a love story, paired with a generous slice of life and a glimpse into Korean culture and prejudiced mentality, which for me as a westerner was hard and even heart breaking to accept. So I cried, and cried..
The cinematography is beautiful with many unforgettable and poetic scenes and the soundtrack is amazing as well, I still have that on rotation in my playlist.
Acting and chemistry between the characters is exemplary. Jung Hae-In is an incredibly talented young actor. Paired with Son Ye-Jin , the queen of melodrama as she is known, is of course amazing, her acting is so beautiful and effortless and she is always able to convey authentic emotion.
