It takes a more zany comedy approach than the book, but it does work.

The cast are great and work well in their roles.

But - the episodes clocking in at 25 minutes is ridiculously short, it was really frustrating to just watch a few mins and then bang. Over. Wait another week.

Quite enjoyed the "show within a show" The Rise and Fall Of Sanctuary Moon" perhaps it should have it's own spin-off as well!

I quite enjoyed this adaption of Martha Wells first novel. I have already read the books.

Looking forward to the next season but please please please make the episides longer! I was watching two episodes back to back every 2 weeks towards the end to avoid the frustration of the way too short length.

Hey, let's do a Guy Ritchie hyper stylised show where all the characters speak at each other in perfectly formed Tuff Guy speeches (except for the odd soapy emotional moment to balance it out) - but instead of cockney crims, we'll make it all about spies and assassins and politicians and stuff.

Yeah great! We can gloss over the holes in the plot by having great actors and cinematography and sound.

I'm 4 episodes in, and it's ridiculous, but also entertaining.

Nice soundtrack.

Here is a sentence at the end of the review so it makes up six hundred characters I think I am nearly there yes I am.

This entertaining pseudo-thriller starts of a bit silly and get's progressively more idiotic in storyline towards the end, all the while remaining very entertaining as the cardboard characters "act" towards the trope laden finale.

Despite the silliness I stuck with it for the pure fun value as the who dunnit messy plot veered around. Still trying to figure out how much bigger the boat cabin was on the inside than the boat was on the outside.

It will be interesting to see where they go with season two now that most of the interesting characters from season one won't be available it seems for various reasons.
