Kingdom is a Very good story.
If directed better, it could have been a comeback for Vijay.
I'd not say directed better, it's more of editted better.
Whenever I feel like I'm getting to something, it disconnects.
Vijay character was justified half, Satya to 25% and Bhagya to 1%???
In jersey Shraddha and Nani made cinema as it was meant and it's a hit!
That's missed here,,, if Satya had a back story, if Vijay fitted in that slowly and Bhagya was a part of it - I'd guarantee a HIT.
But, it's a cinema - Hits and flops.
That apart, Kingdom was beautiful in pieces, and the Dop is top notch with the given budget.
Anirudh shined for only 30-40 % of the cinema and that's understandable.
Hridiyam lopala was missing man, you lost 10 marks there only. You can't deny it.
Setup is there and pay off as well but all in a hurry.
Underdog Vijay, suddenly overshadows Satya who's word is a shashanam for his people and it happens just like that.
There are few such scenes which disconnected me from story multiple times.
The part 1-2 trend has one more victim now!
Still, a one time watch movie for many things and only once for many other thing's!

Vera mallu is not just a person, the character arc was perfectly built and it gets revealed very well.
As always mentioned it's a fantasy story based around Kollur jewels.
When Krish started it, he was with three flops.. So, he convinced pawan Kalyan (who is making remakes) and had a producer (who is not regular) tells the weight of story.
And the story is good, So what failed here is PK focussing completely on politics while the shoot was half finished, he couldn't give much schedules and krish's commitment to other scripts.
Gautam krishna is not a director by choice, he tried to direct his father's film with bare minimum experience.
I know the reasons are not an excuse but I it's not just that.
It's my disappointment being carried from 2014, being a fan.
Ok, all that apart, if you ignore VFX and few unnecessary scenes, it's a good watch.
Btw, people watching in OTT missed the extended climax, kinda good.

Finally, the movie to me is far better than recent cringe movies which became hit(idk how telugu audience made that possible). Yeah it didn't disappoint me much, I liked it.
I'd sit for this whole movie to re-watch one more time when I'm completely free..

I just love watching Fafa on screen, and with Vadivelu beside, it's a treat to eye.
Initially for the first 1 hour I was looking for a story, I'm just waiting for something other than bike travel But I don't know when, i forgot that and started waiting for a new hotel stay, drinking scene between fafa and Velu.
That's how I liked these chemistry.
And it hit me when they start getting into a story, yeah it's a nice story, sensitive topic discussed.
All while not deviating from established plot.
There are many scenarios where things happen just like that, not showing how those happened and as audience it's hard to accept.
Vadivelu has no backdrop, just he is something and accept it, he does something, go with it, and he says in climax has justified the means.
I liked the movie for many things and story isn't one among those, but I suggest watching it.
