If you don't like this show up until now, this arc won't change your mind. But if you love this show as much as I do for its writing, tension, characters, and intrigue you will absolutely love this arc. Don't expect loads of action or a huge flashy finale like The Eye, but expect a masterfully crafted and tension filled thriller of an arc where every character gets to shine.
The time jump works wonders for these episodes, letting us jump straight into the plot while smoothly catching us up on events from the lost year.
Certain characters meet that you would have never thought would meet and it's wonderful. The music absolutely holds its own even with Britells abscense. And finally props to the show for making a new language for the Ghorman.
Just go watch it.

No spoilers just an initial reaction. Man this episode left me riveted. The topics they tackle in this episode are insanely mature and they handle them very well. I was absolutely not ready for how dark this would get.
As for the show itself, it's still great. People probably won't love Cassians plot in the first two episodes but i enjoyed it because I think I see what they were trying to do with it. I think that plot is supposed to be a microcosm of the rebellion and how there's no trust and everything's chaotic and it'll be a contrast to the end of the season once the rebellion truly unites.
I loved everything else. Krennic, mon mothma, luthen, bix. The ending of the last one almost got me ngl. Overall this was a phenomenal start and I don't use that word lightly.

The title of this review pretty much sums it up. I'm seeing a lot of negative reviews saying how boring this is and how nothing is interesting but I can't for the life of me understand why.
There were so many rich character interactions in this episode especially in Kings Landing. There was even a few actiony scenes that people have been clamoring for.
The only thing I'm not sure about is the development with Rhaynera and Mysaria at the end but only because I'm not sure where they'll go with it. If it becomes something worthwhile then I'll be completely fine with it.
Other than that I loved this episode. Gwayne had a great scene here and Alicent shined throughout the whole episode. But the main standouts here were Daemon and Larys. People have been upset about Daemkns plot line and I guess I can understand but there's no way people don't like his scenes this episode.
Please just don't watch the show anymore if you find it so boring. Just because there isn't a battle doesn't mean nothing is happening. If you pay attention to the character work then many of the dialogue scenes will become so much more and you'll hopefully realize how well thought out and brimming with subtext and nuance this show is.
