This episode masterfully balances the action we've come to expect with the seasons blockbuster inspired multi part storylines all while subtly setting up each member of the 118's own personal nightmare.
The brilliant Bridget Regan shines as the villain of the week Moira - a character who seems to be living her life like it's an audition for Poison Ivy. Everyone relates to the toxic co-worker trope.
The episode is more inspired by 1995's Outbreak than its namesake Contagion. Staying away from evoking any real life Pandemic woes.
Carefully integrating the entire cast and regular supporting characters including a kitchen full of adorable child actors within the episode for maximum feels (except Eddie and Chris who remains on his side quest in Texas) like it was a piece of cake.

Perfectly blended comedy, romance and drama. Being themed for Halloween allowed for some excellent directorial and editing fun with monster themed music to blend it all together. The quintessential 911 themes of Family, and Service. The power of kindness and a support system. Strong performances from all. Production design and costume departments given yet another opportunity to shine this episode. Great to see younger cast members having more to do and showcase their acting skills even though there is a huge hole in the main cast left by Gavin/Chris. Always good to see Karen/Tommy added to the mix.
