Some of the scenes in this movie will stay with me as some of the most gruesome things I have ever seen on screen. This film was different; of course, there are slashers out there where people just get cut up into a million pieces or litres of blood come out of someone's neck, but I Saw the Devil is not what I would call over-the-top gore (which can still be fun). Instead, this film expertly chooses horrifying moments with brilliant acting (which almost made me feel the pain myself).

It is one of the best serial killer films I have ever seen. I cannot remember the last time I felt such hatred towards a character. I felt the fear, anger, sadness and disgust that was felt by each and every character, and I had a long think after my watch of how there are real people just like some characters in the film (a terrifying thought)

I rate this film a 7/10. Shocking.

After seeing a baked character done badly so many times I wasn't expecting much (I only heard about the film through a Reddit page). HOWEVER, Smiley Face was so unbelievably relatable that I was laughing pretty much constantly! Even the slightest of nuances were perfect, such as the difference in how the main character acts when alone and when around people. I loved this film, absolutely brilliantly written and acted.

I rate this film a 9/10. Hilarious.
