It was really good. From beginning to end. It has that gross element that other seasons had, gore, bdsm and etc which is great. It was also very funny yet very sad at the same time, i don't usually like that but here it was done really well, so i don't mind it.
I absolutely LOVE the depth of the characters we get in this episode. I didn't expect to see sage, firecracker, hughie, butcher, homelander and kimiko all show their vulnerabelity in a single episode, but i did and i'm not complaining, because again, they come out naturally and it doesn't feel forced.
If i had to complain about something in this episode it would be the lack of frenchie. They mention him once in the beginning and once at the end of the episode, which is obviously justified since he's in jail but it still feels odd. It feels like the actor was busy so they wrote around his absence, which you know.. if they did great, if not maybe they could've done a better job.
Thanks for coming to my yapfest.

To begin with, the cinematography is beyond beautiful. Gorgeous shots with eerie and cold atmosphere, which makes them perfect for a horror film.
When it comes to the story, it is a bit lackluster, yes, however it honestly exceeded my expectations. I was expecting the plot to be some very common horror plot based on the trailer, but no, it is very unique and enjoyable.
I see some critsism for the characters, the lead especially. People are saying that she's stupid, selfish and makes unrealistic descisions, and I have to say I disagree. Her not being very likeable and "selfish" is very obviously on purpose and honestly, it makes her more realistic. I think the idea of her being stupid comes from the fact that she didn't immediately believe others on something supernatural happening and had to check for herself before fully comitting to the rules and i hate to say it again, but that makes her even more realistic in my opinion.
I, personally, liked it. If you're an average horror fan like me, you'll probably enjoy watching it too, it's also not very long and something is always happening so it won't bore you. The film doesn't really rely on jumpscares either, moreso on the atmosphere, It's a very specific vibe, the camera work, the music and etc makes you think that there will be a jumpscare, but there won't, mostly, and i always appreciate a horror movie that doesn't rely on jumpscares to actually procleim itself as a "horror movie".
So in conclusion, a good watch!

Bella Ramsey did an amazing job in this episode! Don't get me wrong they were amazing in other episodes as well, but in here? PHENOMENAL PERFORMANCE.
I think making the leader a priest/preacher was an amazing choice, and this is coming from someone who's always been orthodox. It shows that he took advantage of people who actually believed in god and used their beliefs to his own advantage. I mean if anything he had god complex himself lmao. Not making the leader just cannibal and making him "religious" added depth to the whole episode, made you feel bad for his followers and so on. I don't get why people are offended by it, I mean it's obvious that he's not actually a believer.
With that being said, great episode, I'm just a little worried about how they're gonna fit all the important parts in the last episode.
