When the movie John Carter appears in YouTube videos as one of the "bad" and/or "failed" movies in the cinema, I always see most of the comments protesting and stating that this movie is very good, an 7... an 8 at least...
Nobody understands why it did so badly in the cinema.
I've watched some Marvel and DC movies with their scripts and "special" effects. I think John Carter is much better in these aspects.
With a very good level of realism for the time it was released.
It seems that for most of those who watched it, the ending is not an anti-climax but rather leaves a taste of wanting more.
