I knew that scene was going to stir up some controversy, but credit where it's due-they handled it surprisingly well. Sure, the context might make some viewers squirm, but they managed to dial down the awkwardness just enough to keep things watchable. The rest of the episode? Absolute gold! It was packed with fun, tension, and enough twists to keep you glued to the screen. While that one moment might spark some heated debates, it didn't overshadow the bigger picture. Instead, it added an edge to an episode that was equal parts thought- intense and wildly entertaining. I'm looking forward to a second season of this anime and this season hasn't even ended yet.
This episode of Dandadan is simply brilliant-I don't even have the words to describe everything I felt while watching it.
I knew going in that it was going to be a dynamic and fast-paced episode, but it still managed to surprise me. The way it plays with visuals is genius. The color changes based on the characters' emotions and the atmosphere of each scene were so vivid. During the intense, frantic moments, we see bold shades of red, heightening the rush of the action. Then, as soon as things calm down, cooler colors take over, giving us a brief moment to breathe. That contrast added so much to the overall impact of the episode.
As for the animation-it's absolutely perfect! The quality doesn't dip for a second, even in the comedic bits. The angles they used during the action scenes were creative and exciting, drawing you deeper into the chaos. There's something about Dandadan's visuals that feels fresh and alive, from the energetic battles to the smallest details that make the humor land even harder.
But what really stood out to me was how they avoided typical shonen tropes. In most shows, you'd expect a straightforward 1v1 battle, but Dandadan gave us something different. Instead of a predictable showdown, we got a wild chase sequence that kept me guessing. Every character's unique abilities were used in such clever ways, making the whole chase unpredictable and full of inventive moments. It didn't follow the path you'd expect but still delivered an outcome that felt satisfying.
On top of all that, the soundtrack was amazing. The music perfectly matched the chaos and heightened the intensity of the episode. There were some bold choices in the music, just like in the animation, but they all worked together to capture the wild, unpredictable tone of the show. The frenetic pacing combined with the soundtrack and visuals made everything feel so fast, keeping your heart racing throughout.
All in all, this episode is a clear 10/10. Everything-from the animation to the soundtrack to the storytelling-was done with so much dedication and creativity. It ended this arc in a way that left me excited for what's next. Dandadan is truly shaping up to be one of my favourite animes.
