Currently this show sits in a place for me that it holds my attention. I am neither captivated nor bored by the story. As with anything associated with TWD, the acting and sets are good. While I can say that I miss Negan's evil, ruthless personality it is nice to see Jeffrey Dean Morgan play the character in a different way. The show has promise and it's nice to see that after so much exposure to these characters in TWD and now Dead City, they haven't become completely stale or boring. I believe this show is not for the casual Walking Dead fan but someone who is truly invested in the character progression of Maggie and Negan.

For some time i struggled between giving this a 5 or a 6. This movie has a nice animation style, gore and good voice acting. However, many of the jokes just didn't hit for me. Occasionally I found some things in the movie amusing but never did I find myself laughing aloud or smiling during the 70 minute runtime. I never was in a position where i regretted starting this movie. That being said at no point did I find this movie to be something I'd remember beyond a viewing and a review. Some of the characters were likable, while others were annoying, such as Mary. This movie is slightly above average and is a deviation from ATHF but does have some positives and should appeal to those who enjoy Adult Swim style humor.

This film is a mixed bag for a slasher film. While slasher films have the ability to work under simplified and linear story this movie still seems to lack anything truly compelling and is in my opinion too long. I find myself not really caring for the characters a great deal. However, this movie plays to its audience quite well despite this. The kills and effects are well done and as always David Thornton is brilliant in his body language and facial expressions. While I can't say this is the best slasher I have ever seen I do recommend the movie to anyone looking for some satisfying and brutal kills.
